Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program

Certified Nurse Assistant Program prepares students to administer patient care as a member of a nursing team in hospitals, nursing homes, home health agencies, and other extended care facilities. A nurse assistant will help with the routine care and treatment of persons who are sick, disabled, or infirmed. Current research and trends show excellent job prospects for nurse assistants. Recent occupational projections rank nurse assistants as one of the leading occupations in the health care field. The employment growth is partly attributed to the long-term care needs of an aging population.

Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) Program
Licensed practical nurses (LPNs) help physicians and registered nurses (RNs) care for patients.

They have the technical knowledge to perform routine nursing duties, but they may also make appointments, maintain patient records, and perform basic clerical duties.

Most licensed practical nurses work in hospitals, nursing homes, other health care institutions, and private homes. Some are employed in doctors’ offices, clinics, and public health agencies. Still others work in large businesses. They care for workers who have accidents or become ill on the job. Licensed practical nurses are also called licensed vocational nurses.
